Parents Cards

Hello,
The title of this post may be a little confusing but let me explain. Last week I had a couple of occasions, fathers day , my dogs second birthday and my mum's birthday.
The two cards here are what I made for them.

My first card is my mum's birthday card. Her favourite cards are measles so I made this one using a cute whimsy penguin image, coloured with spectrum noirs and Promarkers. I thought this one went perfectly.
I used Nitwit collections Cherish papers, matted on white. I die cut the border along the top, printed a sentiment and verse and added flowers, ribbon, lace and pearls.

Challenges:

This card I made for my dad on fathers day. It features images and papers from polka doodles Horace and Boo range. It's a stepper card and I matted the paper on black. I printed a sentiment ans added buttons to finish.

I created a step card and used Nitwit collections festive florals papers matted on bronze card.
I created a poinsettia using a sizzix die and added a large pearl to the centre.
I coloured my image with promarkers and added ribbon, a bow and a sentiment to finish.

The papers came from a new favourite paper pad by pebbles, double matted on pink and white.
I also got a box filled with lace, ribbons and a number of embellishments which was one of my favourite gifts, some I used on here. The flowers are from prima.
I finished by adding the sentiment.

Whimsy Penguins

Hello,
Today I'm sharing one of my Christmas cards, so my friends and family will all receive a version of this, but with a different image.

This year I'm using the cute whimsy penguins. My colours are purple, green, burgundy and ivory, matted on gold. Each card has a different image and embellishments.

For this one I used one of the digi stamps, this one comes with another in a set. I coloured it with Promarkers.
Embellishment wise, I used pine cones, some burgundy and purple roses and some berries along with gold leaves. I then finished with a sentiment.

Challenges:
I love ALL animals but this time I chose penguins. I love how each penguin seems to have their own personality.

Whimsy Birthday Penguin

Hello,
Today I have another card to share featuring one of the Penguin images from Whimsy stamps. I LOVE these penguins!
For my card I used Penguin with prezzie, coloured with Promarkers and spectrum noirs.
I chose to make a birthday card, using an older nitwit collections paper pad, all matted on white.
I finished with flowers, ribbon and a sentiment.

Challenges:
This is a difficult one for me as I use a lot of both on my cards. I am an animal lover so a lot of images I use feature animals, seeing as I am known for my cute cards but I also love adding flowers to things, so much so I often have to stop myself from adding them to everything I make!
Based on that, I would say fauna.

Whimsy Penguin Couple

Hello,
Last week I treated myself to some of the super cute penguin stamps from Whimsy stamps. I would love to use some of the Christmas images for my Christmas cards this year, but they seem to have sold out everywhere. After seeing them featured on a few blogs and on pinterest I had to get them!
For this card I used the penguin couple, coloured with Promarkers and die cut into a circle. Colouring scenes I actually find quite difficult, sometimes they look ok others I don't like them at all but colouring classes usually feature copics rather than Promarkers.
I used Nitwit collections Cherish papers, currently my favourite papers in pretty peach and pastel blue.
I added some ribbon, flowers, pearls and an anniversary sentiment to finish.

I'd like to enter this into the following:
Flowers and pearls, because I love adding a bit of a natural look to my cards and pearls give it a pretty feel.

Happy Birthday Bronte!
