Creative Inspirations: Something old, something new

Hello!
Happy New year!
It's been a few months since I posted but I'm back with my first post of the year for creative inspirations.
our challenge this month is something new or something old.
for Christmas I got the new wild and wonderful set from The paper boutique. I love koalas, sloths and pandas so I love the kit.
I created a card that features the koala and the elephant. I used the papers, toppers and embellishment kit as well as matching card and added a doily, pearls and flowers.
I love koalas and what with the terrible wildfires at the moment in australia I thought it was fitting to use them on my card and  i decided with my Christmas money to adopt one at a hospital in australia too.

There are also some new posts coming up on my needlefelting blog, with one new one just posted so why not hop over and take a look. You can now also become a follower.

  1. Lovely card hun :) Just seen your comment over on my Gardening blog, here's hoping that you have a better growing year compared to last! As you mentioned there are a few plants that aren't good for Dogs, however don't let this put you off growing them. I have a dog myself and still grow Foxgloves (these are known to be toxic to dogs) an he rarely bothers with them. I believe it's just a case of keeping an eye on them when they're around plants. In the case of my dog it's more comon for him to wee on my plants than try to eat them! lol If you are still concerned though you can always grow them towards a back of a border where there's less access. If you ever need any advice on any plants you're considering growing this year, you know where I am :) xxx

  2. I really appreciate the lovely comment you left on my blog and thought I'd pop over to see what you made with this paper. This is so cute. I love the layered look on the front. It took a while and a lot of close looking to realize that this card is just a simple triple fold. Love it!
